Dirk Malcolm’s Alternative Film Lists

Chris and Dom have monthly film meetings. In 2009 they watched films from Derek Malcolm’s 100 films of the century, from 2010 they decided to create an alternative. Dom has looked for alternative films by the directors recommended by Malcolm (plus some recommendations of his own, of directors who were missed out) and Chris has imagined a list where cinema actually DID start with Star Wars. Every week, they will be adding a new film to the list.

Please feel free to comment. If you would like to contribute then let me know and I’ll add you as an author. Andy did, and now he’s along for the ride too!

DOM: An Alternative to Derek Malcolm’s Century of Film

CHRIS: What if film HAD started with STAR WARS?

  2. Barry Norman never buys pickled onions. He doesn’t need to. Using a 19th century recipe handed down from grandmother to mother to son he makes them himself. Crisp, crunchy, just sweet enough, just spicy enough these are pickled onions for the true connoisseur. Go on – try them yourself!

  3. Yeah, what kind of idiot buys pickled onions?

I bet Claudia Winkleman buys pickled onions.
